Recording Death Certificates:

  • Death certificates for recording cannot be submitted electronically. These must be mailed or delivered to the office physically.
  • Once recorded, all information on the death certificate becomes public record. 
  • We cannot issue copies or certified copies of death certificates, including electronic copies. You must contact Vital Statistics to obtain copies.

 Birth and Death Records are maintained by  The Idaho Bureau of Vital Records and Health Statistics
